  • Description

Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Western cuisine served from a menu that changes regularly. Open concept "theater show" kitchens allow you to watch the chefs at work.

Varied of dining areas allows you to come back for the menu and experience a different ambiance. The mezza9's Martini Bar offers over 90 different martini concoctions at last count.

Location: Singapore's main shopping district (Orchard) makes it easy to work mezza9 into an evening. Private rooms are available. The restaurant has 450 seats.

On the mezzanine floor of the Grand Hyatt Singapore, mezza9 is one of the most interesting and unique dining experiences available in Singapore. The mezza9 often gets called a "lifestyle restaurant." It is definitely built around some clear concepts.

The first concept is variety. The mezza9 is divided up into nine different eating areas and it offers what the restaurant refers to as nine different dining experiences. In the words of the restaurant's website, they are:

  • the grill: western grill & rotisserie
  • sushi: traditional Japanese sushi and sashimi bar
  • yakitori: yakitori grill
  • the steam basket: traditional Chinese seafood
  • the deli: European deli, Thai deli & crustacean bar
  • the shop: gourmet boutique
  • the patisserie: desserts
  • the wine cellar: walk-in wine cellars
  • the bar: martini & cigar bar
Entertainment is another key concept. The restaurant's kitchens are spread throughout the dining areas as "theater show" kitchen. Wherever you sit you can watch the chefs work in at least one kitchen. And no matter where you set you can order from any part of the menu.

Incredible variety and a changing menu make mezza9 the great dining experience that it is. You can have anything grilled duck or Japanese beef tataki to deep fried crab or rack of lamb. One of the favorite choices is a 9 dessert sampler served on a silver platter.

Saturday at the mezza9 offers samplers at lunch for $9 (S'pore). Sundays offers a huge buffet and bottomless champagne for $99 (S'pore).
