Rome is the capital of Italy and the most largest Italian city.. Rome is one the most touristic city in Europe..in the world!!!! Rome is known as the eternal city…as the city of the "dolce vita"… Toady Rome is a modern and very cosmopolitan city…that keeps its old splendour… everywhere it´s possible to see signs of its glourious past!!!!!!!! Rome and its special atmosphere will catch you…….. the whole city will astonish you with a secret corner, a 600 years old fountain or………the whole city is an open museum!!!!!!

What to see in Rome?????

- Rome offers a lots of sights…..the most popular sights, that you have absolutely to experience are: the Vatican with the St.Peter´s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon.. but they are only a few of Rome´s attractions… You can´t go to Rome and don´t see wonderful squares like Venezia Square, Navona Square, Cavour square Repubblica Square… or it´s worth to see the basilica St. John in Lateran, Roman Aqueducts, Appian way, Castle St´Angelo. the amazing park Villa Borghese…the unique Capitoline museums, Barberini Palce.. but Rome is still more and more……

What to do In Rome????? ----

what you have absolutely to do in Rome is: to take a foray into the Foro. The Roman Forum was the main marketplace and business center in ancient times to wander the Appia Antica. Walk one of the oldest road out of Rome on Sunday, when no cars are allowed.

//to go to the Bocca della Verita´,// that was an ancient sewer grate….Place your hand in the mouth and legend has it that your hands will be bitten off if you've lied!!!!

to free up your wanderlust: Pitch Three Coins into the Trevi Fountain - the tradition of throwing a coin into the fountain guarantees a return to the Eternal City.

to scale the Spanish Steps .

to visit the Vatican State and Vatican museums. The Vatican Museum are free on the last Sunday of the month

to visit Pantheon. It´s the best-preserved monument of imperial Rome.

Shopping in Rome:

Rome is famous to be the city of shopping, the city of the big brands… The most famous shopping streets in Rome are Via dei Condotti, Corso and Via Margutta, in the area around Piazza di Spagna. There you can find the most prestigious brand like: Armani, Gucci, Prada, Valentino, D&g Hermes etc. But if you dont´ to spend so much money.. you can find nice shops in Campo dei Fiori, Via Nazionale, Viale Libia, in the area between Ottaviano Metro and the Vatican. It´s worth to visit the colourful and lively markets in the centre of Rome. Rome's oldest market is held on Campo dei fiori. The most famous secondhand market in Rome is Porta Portese market, where you can find all that you need!!!!There is too a relatively new flea market that is held in a huge 4-floor garage between Piazza del Popolo and Via Veneto. You can find antique shops in the centre of Trastevere district. Here it´s an ideal place, if you are looking for something, that is rare an unbeatable price!!!

What to eat in Rome?????

Of course in Rome you can find all the Italian specialities.. but typical dishes Of Rome are: mozzarella in carrozza, spaghetti alla carbonara, bucatini alla matriciana, bucatini cacio e pepe, gnocchi alla romana, saltimbocca alla romana, suppli´ artichokes “alla giudia". If you still have room in your stomach, to finish why not try a couple of maritozzi, or freshen up with a lovely "grattachecca", the typical Roman crushed-ice drink!!!!!

1.Tip: Restaurant, where you can taste a Roman cuisine "da Palotta" in the are of Ponte Milvio

2.Tip:One of the best Pizzeria in Rome is "La Soffita" in Via Salaria not far from centre.. there you can eat a real pizza according to Neapolitan recipe!!!!!

3.Tip: On of the best Cafe´ in Rome, where you can find a nice atmosphere drinking a real Italian espresso and cappuccino or eating tasty Italian sandwiches is "Cafe´ San Giusto" in Via Crescenzio, near Cavour Square and St. Angel´s Castle!!!!!

Nightlife in Rome

As the night comes Rome will offer you a lots of opportunities of entertainment!!!!! Rome’s nightlife starts late. It is not unusual for locals to meet up for dinner around 9. 30 or even 10. There are surely loads of bars & pubs, clubs & disco spreaded all over the city…….but the best way to enjoy the culture, vibe and spirit of the city is outdoor. As the weather is mild here for most part of the year, every square turns often into a big outdoor bar. The most lively areas for the nightlife in Rome are Trastevere, Campo dei Fiori or San Lorenzo Testacciio!!!!!!! here you can find a ,lots of nice bars, pubs that offer you a special atmosphere, the "Roman atmosphere" Trastevere and the University area of San Lorenzo are the most alternative district with a bohemienne and cosmopolitan atmosphere… where you can find all young people, who want to enjoy the night!!!!!!! Testaccio/ Ostiense: the main streets of Monte Testaccio and via Ostiense and the surroundings are packed with bars, from hip, posh spots to house music clubs..

To go to Rome can be a wonderful and unique experience!!!!!!!! to enjoy the Italian way to live "dolce vita", to have a trip in the past ….in the culture of this amazing city and the same time to experience its present and its atmosphere that remembers everywhere its past!!!!!!!!
